Into the home stretch!

After a long debate and much argueing the group decided to press on to the Place of Hearts Desire!

The group was nearly evenly split.
A loud minority (4 of the 9 present), wanted to go chase the hags and murder hobo them. There was also a call to seek revenge on Cradlefall the dragon that killed Vellyn. But after discussion and arguing for nearly half an hour, the decision was.....Let Lady Zabilna deal with the hags once she is back in charge!

They rode the cranes from the Motherhone to arrive at The Place of Hearts Desire.

I want to put in a side note here. As the group had for some time produced squawks of wanting more roleplay. Through out the entire jumped up module (this is barely an adventure it is not a campaign) they have not actually tried to talk to anyone they have meet.  They talk AT people talk TO people, ORDER people and BERATE people. So i guess i shouldn't be surprised they continue to do the same.

Any way i digress...

Inside the palace they found the guests in the pavilion and presents from Taliver the Fairie dragon. Meet Envy and amazingly were nice to him, bowed and treated him err them with respect.

They explored a bit trying to get to Wrath, and blundered directly into the Jabberwock. This group has a knack for blundering directly into the big bad. No matter how convoluted the path, they will navigate it by pure happenstance to arrive in the Big Bads face.

Now its gets fun, the dwarf player (Elkhorn replacement character for dead Vellyn) shouts Mercion's name when they see them near Zybilna. This awakens the Jabberwock and they decide "hey lets just kill the giant dragon" Three rounds of combat later they see its regenerating its wounds. Since the group is now all beat up from the Jabberwock, they decide to retreat. As they all flee the room one player decides (Fiona decides if i can just get to the cauldron we can win!) runs to the cauldron and touches the stuff in it. This enrages the Jabberwock! (for reasons i can not mention as some of my group read this)

The Jabberwock quits chasing the fleeing party and goes after the Halfling! Finoa very nearly stayed at the cauldron trying to somehow free Zybilna her patron. The Jabberwock charged and swiped her with its viscous rend attack and she ...used misty step to escape.

The Jabberwock is now using its unerring tracking to hunt those of the group it wounded while they race to unlock the doors by visiting Wrath.

They did figure out the riddle of the crown quite handily.

Wrath was a fun encounter again, like Envy the two are a blast to play, again the group was polite and bowed in difference to the NPC. After some shenanigans to change the crown so Wrath would wear it, the crown was placed on their head.

We wrapped for the night and i believe we have 1 or maybe 2 sessions left in this adventure.

I again will note, This thing is laid out like the editor was mad at the writer. Plus they padded the book size with a ton of unnecessary garbage. If you reorganized it and ADDED all the missing stats for creatures it lacks. it would probably be a decent sized module.  But they tried to stretch it into a campaign it plays out a bit jarring, rocketing from first to seventh level. If this had been a proper module it should have been an adventure for levels 4 to 7.

Due to recent WoTC wankery over the OGL, I wont be purchasing any material from them again. (not that i buy much now, the promise of a campaign that you didn't have fight was too intriguing to pass up.) I play the old stuff and OSR stuff, frankly WoTC hasn't been relevant to my gaming since i abandoned 3rd ed to go back to 1st. (less than 6 months after 3rd came out)
