Celtic campaign

 Currently running a celtic campaign set in (pre roman) Brittan. 

Have a mix of classes from the usual suspects.

Bard

Mage (fire mage)

Dwarf

Thief

Cleric (new character previous druid died)

Dwarven rune priest

Wizard

Calling my current rules set Castle Crawl Classics. 

Its a mix of C&C and DCC with some Index card rpg thrown in.

Not too dis-simular to what the Professor Dungeon Master of youtube DungeonCraft uses.

Still making new magic items, but i am now forceing my PC's to make their own items via rare and exotic materials.

Sorry no new posts in a week. couple real life issues have cropped up to disrupt my daily routine.

Phanton cat is a tribute to character from an MCC game that was a Cat Manimal with shrinking that was killed in play. The party was very upset their cat had died.

Item 4 was inspired by response to one of the posts.

I have made various items over the years but DCC has really amped my desire to create as the system behaves simply... every magic item is unique. No one churns out groups of the same item. Every magic item has a story behind it.

I believe 2 are weapons the rest are minor items.

Credit where credit is due.
I love these certificates. i print them and trim them in different sizes to make my players struggle a bit to find items.

Also magic sword, the name struck me and i had to make a sword based on it.

Magic items for DCC

I can not remember the site i got the magic item forms from.The artist was a great mapper also. If they see my post i will update with proper credit once i am informed. 

You will notice the name of the ring is not pronounceable. That is intentional. The sequ points work like this...get 5 points role on the mutation table. Its a way for characters to slowly destroy themselves for power. 

All of the items should be self explanatory.

From an alternate reality. He was dropped off by his grandfather Griffin Penant (also a Wizard.) His grandfather told him that he thinks his grandmother is a Druid that may be from this area. Either way, he should be safe here – practicing magic is not acceptable in the other dimension

Description: Brown skin, blond hair and blue eyes

Young Dwarven Priest came from the mountains in Scottland to help build up society and industry. Award winner at Spring Equinox festival for drinking contest. Appointed to apprentice under Samaxa by Odar.

Player: Rikki | Character: Samaxa | Race / Class: Human Druid “Derwyd”

Description: White skin, long auburn hair with green eyes. There is a strip of hair shaved from ear to ear denoting Druid status. Also wearing special Druid robes.

Her family is part of the Maybary Clan and owns Gwaeddon's Orchard. Trained by the Druid Circle at Oak Grove.

Description: White skin, red hair with green eyes

From the area – Mathonwy family. Sling award winner at Spring Equinox festival. “Life of the party.” Beheaded leader of the raid.

Elder Dwarf is a fighter with a fancy weapon from the Nordic area. Ax throwing award winner at Spring Equinox festival.

10/31 - Samhain “Soween”

End of harvest season and beginning of Winter celebrated by cleansing bonfires that have protective powers. 11/1 Marks the beginning of the new year.

12/21 - Winter Solstice

Shortest day and longest night. Days become longer moving forward. It is a time of rebirth.

2/1 - St. Brigid's Day

First day of Spring represented by St. Brigid often celebratedby visiting Brigid's holy well.

Symbol: Straw or red cross.

3/21 - Vernal (Spring) Equinox

Northern and Southern hemispheres experience an equal amount of sun time.

5/1 - Beltane

Cleansing fire festival celebrates the first day of Summer and the fertility of the coming year. Yellow flowers are used to decorate homes symbolizing the cleansing fire.

6/21 – Summer Solstice

 A festival is held celebrating the light and sun. The day is dedicated to the Celtic Goddess. The longest Day of the year is the ideal day to banish evil spirits.

8/1 – Lughnasa

A festival is held celebrating the beginning of the harvest season half way between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.

9/21 Autumn Equinox

Referred to as a stepping stone between light and dark because there is an equal amount of light and dark in the day. This is a time of harvest when people begin preserving goods.

Cultural Norms

Music is often used battle and is common to bring a band along for a battle.

Fidchell is an honored strategy game. It is important for a warrior to be passable at the game because it is a mark of intelligence and strategy.

Water is a healing element and fire is a cleansing element.
